CQUPT Wins the OneNET Innovation Award of China Mobile in the National Finals of the National University Biological Network Design Competition
From August 29th to 30th, the national finals of National University Biological Networking Design Competition (Huawei Cup) 2020 were held in Shanghai Jiaotong University. “Unmanned Supermarket System Based on the Integration of RFID and OneNET IoT platform” by Yan Jun, Lu Wan, Wang Zhongyuan and Chen Minghua from School of Optoelectronic Engineering, CQUPT broke through manydifficulties in the finals of Central China and Southwest China, and won the grand prize of the competition area and successfully advanced to the national finals. In the national finals, , CQUPT finally won the national first prize and China Mobile OneNET Innovation Award after fierce competition in online defense, physical display, judges' questions and other links, which was the best record our university had achieved in this event.
The National University Biological Network Design Competition is the only subject competition in the field of IoT created by the Teaching Guidance Committee under Ministry of Education and the Teaching and Research Expert Group of IoT Engineering Discipline. It is the competition with the largest scale and influence in the field of IoT in China. The competition was sponsored by the National Institute of Computer Education of Colleges and Universities, undertaken by Shanghai Jiaotong University and Shanghai Jinqiao Economic Development Zone Management Committee, and sponsored by Huawei, TI, China Telecom, China Mobile, Baidu, Tridium, ZigBee Alliance and Newland. The competition attracted more than 560 universities including Shanghai Jiaotong University, Nanjing University, Zhejiang University, Harbin University of Technology, Xi’an Jiaotong University, Wuhan University, Sichuan University, Tongji University, Beijing University of Posts andTelecommunications, and nearly 2,000 teams signed up for the competition. Through the selection and recommendation of five regional competitions, a total of 118 teams entered the national finals.
