Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications Signs a Strategic Cooperation Agreement withChinese Institute of Electronics, Chongqing Science and Technology Association and Nan’an DistrictPeople’s Government of Chongqing

On August 26, 2019, CQUPT, together withChinese Institute off Electronics, Chongqing Science and Technology Association, Nan’an DistrictPeople’s Government of Chongqing signed a strategic cooperation agreement at Global Digital Economy Summit during the Smart China Expo 2019.

The guests attended the event and participated in the signing ceremony, includingHuaiJinpeng,Secretary of Party Committee, Executive Vice Chairman, andHead of the China Association for Science and Technology, and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences; Tang Liangzhi, Deputy Party Secretary of Chongqing  Municipal Committee, Mayor of Chongqing Municipal People’s Government; Wang Jiong, President of Chongqing Municipal Political Consultative Conference;Wang Zhijun, Deputy Minister and Party Member of Ministry of Industry and Information Technology; Zhang Ming, member of the Standing Committee of the Chongqing Municipal Committee and Minister of Propaganda Department. OuShunqing, Member of the Chongqing Municipal Party Committee, Secretary General, and Director of the General Office.

The guests attending the signing ceremony and representing the four parties are XuXiaolan, Member of the Standing Committee of the China Association for Science and Technology, Member of the Central Standing Committee of the China Zhigong Party, Dean of the China Industrial Internet Research Institute, Vice Chairman and Secretary General of the Chinese Institute of Electronics; Wang Heqing, Secretary of the Party Committee of Chongqing Science and Technology Association, Executive Vice Chairman; Chen Yiqing, Deputy Secretary and  of the Party Committee and Head of Nanan District; Li Lin, Secretary of the Party Committee and President of Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications.

According to the agreement, the four parties will jointly promote the cloud computing IoT innovation resources to gather in Chongqing, and confirm that the China Cloud Object Conference will be held permanently in Nanan District. They will try to build the top five platforms including the top think tank platform for cloud computing IoT extension cooperation, collaborative innovation platforms, entrepreneurial incubation platforms, talent training platforms, and industry integration platforms.

The four parties will jointly build the Digital Economy International Cooperation and Innovation Development Center, build a digital transformation and innovation public service platform, promote the transformation of qualified innovation results, and carry out international precision docking activities for digital economic resources. The signing of the agreement will provide strong support for promoting Chongqings implementation of the innovation-driven development strategy action plan led by big data intelligence, and inject new momentum into the high-quality development of the economy. Whats more, it also will promote the development of a digital economy that is based on Chongqing, covers the Western area in China, radiates across the whole country, and connects the world.
