2019 China Communication Society Artificial Intelligence and Information and Communication Technology Symposium is Held in CQUPT
On March 30, 2019, the “2019 China Communications Society Artificial Intelligence and Information and Communication Technology Symposium” hosted by the China Communications Society, CQUPT and China Mobile Communications Co., Ltd. was held in the Academic Lecture Hall of Shaw Building of our university.
The opening ceremony of the conference was presided by Song Wei, deputy secretary-general of the China Communications Society. Li Lin, the president of our university, delivered a speech. Professor Xu Mingwei of Tsinghua University delivered a speech on behalf of Academician Wu Jianping of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. Zhang Yanchuan, vice chairman and secretary general of the China Communications Society, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Entrusted by the China Communications Society, Chen Qianbin, vice president of CQUPT, read out the “Proposal on Launching the Artificial Intelligence Technology and Application Committee of the China Communications Society” at the opening ceremony, and jointly launched initiatives with relevant scientific research institutions, academic groups, and technology companies, aiming to give full play to academic advantages, promote academic exchanges, strengthen scientific popularization and personnel training, promote the interdisciplinary development, serve the country’s construction in face of its needs, and promote the integration of technology development and the real economy.
Focusing on the theme of “Artificial Intelligence and Communication Information Technology”, the conference invited Professor Zhang Ping from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications; Professor Xu Mingwei from Tsinghua University; Professor Lin Jinchao from Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications; Zhao Huiling, full-time member of the Standing Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology; Feng Junlan, chief scientist of China Mobile Group Research Institute; Zhang Yunyong, dean of China Unicom Research Institute; and other well-known experts and scholars in the field of artificial intelligence in China. The conference focused on the development of ICT-driven information and communication technology, 6G technology, space integration network, emergency IoT core technologies and systems, and other new-generation artificial intelligence technologies and applications, as well as information and communication network technology integration and other cutting-edge topics and recent research results at home and abroad. In the two special technology sub-forums set up by the conference, scholars from Beijing University of Science and Technology, Beijing Jiaotong University, Institute of Science and Technology, PLA Information Engineering University, Sichuan University, Chongqing University, Xi’an Jiaotong University and others were invited. They made invited lectures and collated papers for presentation and communication.
