Japanese Research Center of CQUPT Participates in the 5th Sino-Japanese Education Exchange Conference
CQUPT News (provided by Social Science Department, and edited by Ao Yongchun)Recently, in order to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the conclusion of Treaty of Peace and Friendship between China and Japan, the 5th Sino-Japanese Education Exchange Conference, sponsored by the China Education Association for International Exchange, hosted by the Japan-China Cultural Exchange Center, and co-organized by the Consulate-General of the People’s Republic of China in Osaka, Hyogo Prefecture, Japan, and Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan, was held in Kobe, Japan.
Vice President Fu Mingqiu and his team were invited to attend this conference. More than 400 delegates from 116 well-known Chinese and Japanese universities, such as Renmin University of China, Dalian University of Technology, Tongji University, Beijing Institute of Technology, Kyoto University, Waseda University, Kobe University, attended the conference, witnessing the signing of the Declaration of Awaji Island, which symbolizes the opening and cooperation of higher education betweenChinaandJapan.
At the Forum of Chinese and Japanese University Presidents of this conference, in-depth discussions were held by famous universities in China and Japan on topics such as the management experience and challenges of top universities in two countries, talent training in the context of the internationalization, innovation of scientific research and cooperation between industry, education and research of universities of the two countries and their exploration and practice of internationalization. At the Sino-Japanese Education Exchange Conference, our university has held “One-to-One” talks with more than 10 universities including Osaka University, Kobe University and Okayama University, and reached cooperative intentions with Kobe University, Nanzan University, Ashikaga University and other colleges and universities in establishing inter-university cooperation and teacher-student exchanges.
During this visit, Fu Mingqiu and other representatives of ourbrother universities in China visited Kwansei Gakuin University—a member of the “Super International University Program”, and deeply discussed with Japanese officials on international exchange projects, Sino-Japanese cooperative university-running projects and the contents of management service for foreign students.
