CQUPT Wins the First Prize in the Fifth “CATCH” National College Students Internet Software Design Competition
From May 4 to 5, 2018, the National College Student “Internet Plus” Innovation Competition and the Fifth “CATCH” National College Students Internet Software Design Competition (Hereinafter referred to as "CATCH"), jointly organized by China Electronic Commerce Association, Hangzhou Municipal Commission of Commerce and Hangzhou Economic-Technological Development Area, were successfully held in Hangzhou Dianzi University. This competition attracted a total of 793 colleges and 7,445 teams. After layered selection, 120 teams from the undergraduate group and 30 teams from the higher vocational education group came to the national finals of the “CATCH”. They conducted fierce competition respectively in such three sections as Online Marketing Skills, App Development, and Design and Art Design.
In the finals there were 15 first prizes, 30 second prizes, 105 third prizes, and 45 instructor awards. A total of five teams from our university entered the finals and won 1 first prize, 1 second prize, 3 third prizes and 1 instructor award. The winning teams all have access to bonuses and job opportunities offered by Tedu.cn, a competition organizer.
The “Visual Enhancement Cloud Platform Based on Computational Optics and Machine Learning” project, which was instructed by Professor Chen Kuo of School of Software Engineering and completed by Wang Wei, Li Jiaqi and other students, won the first prize in the “Internet Marketing Skills” competition. Professor Chen Kuo was awarded the title of “Excellent Instructor”.
