Our University’s Students Win the First Prize in the 41st ACM-ICPC Asian Regional Contests

CQUPT News (contributed by the Academic Affairs Office,and edited by He Jiang) The 41st "Kangxin Cup" ACM-ICPC Asian Regional Contests (Dalian Station) was held in the gym of Dalian Maritime University from October15 to October16, 2016. 218 teams with near 700 competitors and over 100 couches from China's 133 colleges and universities (such as HKU, CUHK, Peking University and Tsinghua University) attended the contests. Students from our university achieved historic good results in the 41st ACM-ICPC Asian Regional Contests held in 2016. Wang Jian, Fan Ruochong and Zhang Haowei gained the first prize, which was the best grade that all of Chongqing'scolleges and universities had achieved in this contests.

ACM-ICPC(itsEnglish full name: ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest), initiated in 1970 and sponsored by the Association for Computing Machinery,is an annual competition aiming at demonstrating students' innovation ability, teamwork spirits and the ability to write programs,tosolve andtoanalyze problems under pressures.
