Leaders of CQUPT Meet with Professor Thomas Peng, Vice President of George Fox University and His Delegation
On the afternoon of November 14th, Professor Thomas Peng, Vice President of George Fox University of America and his delegation as well as Professor Annette Nemetz, Project Director of MBA, paid a visit to CQUPT. Chen Qianbin, Vice President of CQUPT, had a deep discussion with them about issues of cooperation and communication of two universities.Leaders of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchanges and School of Economics and Management attended the meeting.
Vice President Chen Qianbin extended sincere welcome to the visit ofVice President Thomas Peng and his delegation, and then Mr. Chen reviewed the cooperation and communication between CQUPT and George Fox University over the past years. Mr. Chen said, “Our university always persists in running school openly and attaches importance to international cooperation. George Fox University is an important partner university of CQUPT. On May, 2011, our university signed a cooperation contract with George Fox University of America. And then extensive exchanges and cooperation covering teachers training, personnel nurturing, resource sharing, etc. have been carried out, and successive results achieved. George Fox University enjoys remarkable advantages in education management and personnel nurturing, so deepening cooperation and exchanges between our two universities are expected, which will promote us to further expand cooperation in the projects including bilingual or foreign teachers training, joint cultivation of undergraduate and postgraduate students.” Vice PresidentThomas appreciated CQUTP’s reception and he said that he would highly value the cooperation and trust between two universities. He also hoped that this visit could make the partnership between CQUPT andGeorge Fox University more solid and steady to develop deeper cooperation and exchanges concerning teachers’ advanced training, joint personnel nurturing and so on.
After the meeting, Thomas and his delegation had a discussion withthe Office of International Cooperation and Exchanges and School of Economics and Management about details of cooperation projects. The two sides have reached cooperative intentions on MBA projects cooperation, expansion of reciprocal visit and the scale of inter-university joint nurturing of students and short-term exchanges. Both the sides were content with the results of the meeting, and more productive cooperation is expected.
